He was advised to open a bank account with Mbank Kyrgyzstan, with assurances that there would be no issues in transferring money to this bank. Following this advice, Sergei spent a significant amount of money to open the account, only to have his transfer request rejected due to his citizenship.
The Hong Kong Debacle
EXANTE then suggested transferring his funds to an account in Hong Kong. Sergei complied and opened an account there. While the money was successfully transferred to the Hong Kong account, subsequent attempts to withdraw funds to his Mbank Kyrgyzstan account were futile. The funds were returned to his EXANTE account in Hong Kong, with no clear explanation or swift documentation provided.
Disappearing Funds
In a twist that adds insult to injury, Sergeis funds went missing from his EXANTE account after another transfer attempt. Despite repeated communications with his personal manager and the compliance department, Ser gei was left without access to his money for over a month. His bank confirmed that no funds had been received or requested from EXANTE.
